Another great weekend of racing for Soper Performance Coached athletes with athletes competing across the UK.
First up on Saturday, Jonny was in action at the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) 25TT setting a time of 1:03:59 to finish 69th overall.
Sunday saw Jamie taking on some of the best time triallists in Scotland in the Scottish Olympic Time Trial Championships at the Tour of the Meldons. Despite a mechanical mishap costing valuable seconds Jamie put in a storming ride to finish 11th overall in a time of 58:12 on the 25 mile mountain course.
Sunday saw Tony and myself in action at the Etape Loch Ness Sportive. With both of us tackling the 62 mile route for the first time; Tony put in a great overall effort finishing 25th in a time of 2:51:14 and clocking in some solid training miles ahead of the Majorca 312 next weekend.
After deciding that clinging onto the Deeside Thistle train from the get go wasn't the wisest move for me, I managed to settle into a steady group coming home in a more modest time of 3:20:59, finishing 402nd overall. A great sportive in stunning scenery around the mighty Loch Ness and it even stayed dry!
